Transfer case breather vent tube

Had my Transfer case drain and replaced 25,000 miles 3/10/10 about 2 years ago notice smell coming from interior vent. lifted hood and small breather tube had fluid wet. went to Dealer and said ok. I thought maybe over serviced. wiped clean no more problem. Until last week driving up Grapevine to Los Angles, A car, said my Jeep was smoking. pulled over open hood and below breather tube was on fire. Put out fire with dirt. Drove to Gas station and hosed off. Found that leaking fluid from Breather had accumulate next to exhaust manifold. Webbing on A/C had caught on fire. The plastic clamp on firewall had broken and breather tube was directly above exhaust manifold. I moved breather tube away from exhaust manifold with tie wrap. Drove up Mt yesterday no problem. has any one had this problem? the Breather tube is next to Transmission fill line. Hope you under stand this.
