Transmission leak

Hey guys, been awhile since Ive been on the forum. Wanted some advice on a transmission leak. I noticed it was leaking under and decided to put a pan under to see what it was, red transmission fluid. Its leaking near the front of the jeep and appears to be from the seal but Im not sure.

Heres one of my questions. Last jan. my check engine light went off, found out it was from my transmission fluid being low. My transmission was under warranty at the time (all parts and seals) so I went and got it checked out at the dealer. They said they couldnt see any leaks so they just filled it up to normal level, actually way above normal.

Now obviously this leak I have now is what caused my transmission to be low back in jan., it just wasnt as bad i don't think. The seals were under warranty back then, now they arent. That warranty ended shortly after I had them check it out.

So can I get them to replace it under warranty even tho its expired since they failed to find it when it was covered? I should be in the computer for the low transmission fluid back then when they couldnt find the leak.

thanks guys

Re: Transmission leak

well I got it checked out today, found out it was a coolant leak, which is red too. There is a slight leak from the water pump gasket. Its were the water pump connects. Water pump is good but the connection isnt. I got the water pump replaced under warranty in december of 09 so it kinda sucks. Probably hard to replace on my own, they quoted me at like 300 and the part is only like 20 bucks, lol.
