Trouble codes.

Praise the Lord! I have a 2006 Renegade 4X4. I have three codes. # 1.U0002,# 2. P0700, # 3. P0440. Can any one help? May God Bless.

Re: Trouble codes.

U0002 is a CAN C communication DTC, could be MANY things.

P0700 is not the important DTC, P0700 is simply a DTC that posts when there is a DTC in the transmission controller. So this is not pointing you at the circuit that failed, more so that another computer is reporting a code that is important... to get that code you need a better scantool, or a shop

The P0440 is an evaporative emissions system failure, Ultimately my service information is lacking at home so I am not even certain what system this uses, make sure your gas cap is seated and look over any hoses for any cracking. All of chryslers evap systems fail at life, so the meat and potatos of the operation are common failures, either the NVLD or the ESIM switch, whichever system this uses (I think NVLD)

Don't forget the dreaded purge solenoid usually that and or the LDL pump have it smoked might be a simple hose
