Windshield washer not spraying!

Hi all. We had a huge Thanksgiving snow storm here and my new to me 2011 Grand Cherokee was amazing in the snow!! The washer fluid is only working on the driver side. Any ideas how to fix before I go back to the dealer. It doesn't look clogged and all the tubing seems to be attached like it should be, and it's full.

Re: Windshield washer not spraying!

Hi,

I had a similar problem on my 2013 Grand - except it wasn't spraying from either jet - it didn't look clogged but it was. A quick spray with some compressed air (once the pipes were disconnected) fixed the problem.

Re: Windshield washer not spraying!

Disconnect the tube at the underside of the spray nozzle and see if you get fluid out.
If not, it is clogged in that tube or at the junction. Both easy to replace.
If you get fluid when disconnected it would be the nozzle, which aren't that hard to get plugged up. They aren't that hard to replace and you can buy OEMs online or aftermarket ones from pretty much any parts store.

You CAN unplug the nozzles but you have to use a small but stiff wire and if you use steel piano wire you can damage it enough it sprays funny, easier to just replace them once you unplug a few items and figure out where it is plugged.

You might want to pull your bottle and clean the innards, some water sources can create a lot of gunk in the bottle.
