wire shortage i think

hey guys, i have a 91 jeep xj and when i put a new fuse in for the instrument panel and i hit the breaks the fuse shorts out( you might have to explain things a little bit better bc im kinda new to working on jeeps)

Re: wire shortage i think

Not familiar with the XJ, but did you check if the brake pedal is not touching any wiring? A shaved wire could cause a short as soon as you push the pedal down.
