Xm radio

I took delivery on January 14 but my xm radio subscription already shows as being expired. Does anyone know if I contact the dealership or xm to get this resolved? I have also been having radio issues where it will not turn in and stays at the Jeep screen for a while so the dealership is ordering me a new radio but I wouldn't think they would be connected.

Re: Xm radio

I assume you have one of the JK models that didn't come standard with a 1-year free trial of SiriusXM? If so then you'll need to contact SiriusXM and buy a subscription if you want to keep it.

If you do have a 1-year free trial of SiriusXM and your radio is showing it's expired then you have an issue with the built in XM receiver. If a reset or refresh directly from SiriusXM doesn't resolve it then that would require replacing the entire head unit.

It's not unusual for the display to stay on the Jeep startup screen for several seconds before switching over. Define "a while"? Sometimes my startup screen comes up, sometimes it doesn't. When it does it can stay up for 10 seconds or longer.

Thanks. I had thought they were all 1 year as that is what our other one was.

Check your window sticker... if you do have a free 1-year trial it should be listed there.

I finally found it on my VIN summary report and it shows 1 year service. Guess I will be calling around next week.

Let your dealer know but call SiriusXM and see if they can fix it on their end first.

You can contact your dealer sales department, but I'd also recommend contacting SiriusXM. Thanks - Kevin T, Social Connect Team
