Got a '93 Grand Cherokee that just hit 327k this morning on the way to church. The engine is original and never been gone into, the trans has been replaced (and right now giving me a fit!) but you can't kill it! I tipped it up on the passenger side on an icy road one morning and the state trooper who responded told me it'd probably never start without mechanical work. HA! The old wrecker guy said "Give it a minit fer duh orl ta settle down 'n try 'er" I did, she fired and I drove her on home! Talk about rugged!
I have a 1992 Jeep Cherokee and it has over 300K miles on it and still going strong. I am the second owner and every since my fiancee died, i am trying to take care of it myself. By the way she runs, I am doing a darn good job! ha ha. As he used to say, "when you put your foot into it, she will throw you back in the seat" and I do not baby it. I will put my foot into it once in awhile and she will keep up with the best of them. I am so proud. I hope it makes it to 500K. Thanks.
I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Currently at 237k on original engine, trany and transfer case. T-case is leaking so looks like will have to rebuild it, thinking of doing a swap to Select-track. So far doing ok, been running rich though and stalling. Changed the spark plugs and right now runs fine, but have a feeling problem is still there. Will be looking into it.
l got 566700km on mine which is about 354000 miles, on my 1995 V8 GC org engine gearbox diffs and trans case. Admittedly all the door latches have worn out and if i forget to leave a window down i have to go in though the tailgate, waiting to get my collar felt on that one!
I have a 1998 5.2L V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee that just hit 307k miles. Original engine and transmission. All miles put on by me (original owner). Blazes through extreme cold, snow, and the heat of summer. Absolutely love my Jeep!
