4x4 question

so my jeep was given to me its a 1995 4x4 laredo the person who had it before me kept it in 2wd not full time 4 when i went to put it in 4 time 4 it clunked and locked while turing like locked in low 4. then when put back into 2wd it took some driving and a loud slam to get it back to normal. is that expected what could be the problem

Re: 4x4 question

Should be a problem with the T-case. You could try new fluid, but if that doesn´t help, it probably needs a rebuild or other T-case.

thanks ill give the t case fluid a shot. i know in my old suburban. that happened it. the oil had broken all down and no pressure
