94 grand cherokee back fire

i have a 94 grand cherokee that had the 5.2l and i swapped it with the 4.0l and the only problem i have is that it backfires through the intake only while driving it and when it does backfire it boggs out like its loseing fuel pressure i did a tune up and changed the fuel pressure regulator and it has a new fuel pump and checked the sensors on the throttle body by unplugging them and they all seem to b ok cause they all but shut the motor off when i unplug them and i also replaced all 6 injectors and now im stuck and i do not know what to do next any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appriciated. thanks.

Re: 94 grand cherokee back fire

Does it backfire all the time or randomly? how does it start/idle/drive otherwise?
