Okay guys I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to jeep. I've got a '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. Quadra- trac 4x4 all time.4.0 Inline 6 I neen the front drive shaft for it with the Cv-joint not the u-joint. This one was made december 1995. I have been to 10 salvage yards looking for one and every single one I've been to doesn't have the one I need they are all u-joint driven. I need CV. I went to autozone and the cheapest I found one was 349.00. I found a few on eBay for $50-$125 witch is what I want to pay. So the question is: what is the exact drive shaft that I need? I don't want to buy one on eBay and it be the wrong one or can I find one that would work? When I got the jeep it didn't have a drive shaft so I don't even know what it looks like..any help would be greatly appreciated. And thanks in advance fellas. My names James btw.

(seems like they only made it for half a year bc the 97s are u-joint style and so are some of the '96s) it's really hat to find and it sucks.

Yes, switch the pinion yoke on the axle from cv (rzeppa?) to u-joint style. Run a u-joint driveshaft. Write ups should exist on mallcrawlin.com (read EVERYTHING b4 posting a question, nomex underwear required) and nagca.com.
