96 ZJ Rod Bearing

Looking at getting a "steal" on a 96 4.0L ZJ. Engine and trans run great, but has a rod knock. The guy has the oil pan off currently so I could take a look at the issue. So my question is how difficult is it to change out a rod bearing on these? And if I can talk him down to $450-550 should I buy it? 174k miles, and looks to be in good shape.

Thanks in advance,
Nate
