HI Guys,

I was having a few issues with the above, with the motor running all the time, now it is happening ALL the time...

As already suggested by someone on here, I need to pull the power connection to the antenna to stop it working until I can get a new one...

Problem is, I can't find the correct bit to pull!!!!!

What I am looking for is help where it actually is??

Is the lead on the inside of the car, and (remembering the driver side is the right side in the UK) do I pull out the passenger or driver kick plates to find it?!?!?!?!

I have looked up my haynes manual, it says passenger side, but shows drivers side... Just wondering if anyone on here knows for sure before I have to take my interior to bits!!

Thanks

Not sure what year jeep you are talking about here but, if you pull the stereo out of the dash the blue with white wire should be for the power antenna. If you cut that wire it will kill the power to the antenna.

if you cut that wire, it also kills the factory amp, and u have no sound at all...

there is a 3 prong flat style plug, right above the pass side kick panel. unplug it and you should be ok..
or in the glove box under the panel there is a relay specifically for the pwr ant. 1 is for horn, 1 is for unlock, 1 is for lock, 1 is the power ant relay, they all look the same, so just start pullin them until u find the right one

Well I went in through the right side inner wheel arch, and it seems the antenna has been replaced before, so just managed to strip the rubbish electrical tape and remove the whole thing....

Needs to be CD's from now on until I can find a replacement unit...

If you don't care about a power antenna just put a regular one on.
