freeze plug keeps poppin

hello. I just have a quick qjestion. I live in central california. just replaced freeze plugs with doorman brand, made in china. they had no others. one of them,.the third one from the front of car keeps popping out after.a.week or so. I have not put coolant in radiator, just water. would this be the reason?

That shouldnt have anything to do with why its popping out. I kno loctite makes a product specifically for around freeze plugs and block heaters.

Re: freeze plug keeps poppin

That one may be slightly out of spec. Try a different one. If it keeps coming out there used to be a two piece kind that tightened up in the hole with a gasket and nut for problem solutions.
