Re: Hi fellow Jeep lovers!
I too have a '96 and I love it to death. My grand is loging 314,000. Old men like me deserve pampering (or parts), if yours is hurting (auto) then by all means take care of that puppy. Old men get regular check ups and so should your vehicle. I too, have had many problems with my Jeep. Everything but the exhaust system and tyres are original. I treat my Jeep as if it were my wife well (almost anyway-heh) The one smart thing that I have done is---find a passionate mechanic right out of automotive school. This person wants to know for his or herself what the problem(s) is and is he skilled enough to do a smart repair or give you good guidance and or intelligent enough to know that he/she isn't qualified and find out who to go to and suggest that person or establishment to you. I havn't been with this forum long enough to qualify anything else, so, with that I wish you well! Do keep on reading and questioning on this forum, there has to be answers somewhere.
