Question Radio/Crankshaft Sensor

I have an after market radio that fades in and out on two channels that I used to have good reception. I changed the CPS a while ago. Could this be the root of my problem with the radio reception or lack of. By the way, the sensor was not a Mopar product. It was a Nippon Denso sensor. The Jeep in question is a '97 JGC.

Re: Radio/Crankshaft Sensor

Does the problem not occur with the engine off? If so, it could have to do with the sensor, eventhough i have my doubts.
If engine on or off does not make any difference, i would discard completely the CPS.
I would in fact more suspect the radio itself.
