Cold air intakes

I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there is a cold air intake for our jeeps, as I'm having a real hard time trying to locate one. Thanks

Re: Cold air intakes

Doesn't exist. Been looking for over a year. Kind of surprising since these are pretty common overseas.

Re: Cold air intakes

They're available over here for the 2.7 but not the 3.0

You could always make one yourself.

Re: Cold air intakes

What's really the difference between the 2 motors? Anything that would be a major issue? If you have pics I could figure something out

Re: Cold air intakes

Thank you for the links. I will send then a message when I get home from work to find out more on this setup. I think I will be able to get it to work on our motor with no issues.

Re: Cold air intakes

Yes I understand they are easy to make as i have made a few for alot of my cars.trucks I have owned, but Im feeling lazy and dont want to build one myself. Unless you have some specs etc I can use.

If you do attempt a do-it-yourself CAI, make sure you have the ability to make a protective heat shield to protect the cone. Simply putting a cone filter on the end of the intake will end up just being a HOT AIR Intake. I've seen people make their own CAIs and neglect making sure that only fresh air from outside the engine bay is funneled into the intake...

Re: Cold air intakes

Just to give you guys a heads up, I have been speaking to the seller and from the sound of things we will be designing a cold air intake for the 3.0L diesel. I will keep you all up to date.
