Thanks Snuke & Guth

Interesting on the Anderson plug because I need two
One needs direct wiring for the ESC on the van
The other for the van battery I was going to wire via a VCR but now it may require more detail
Thanks for the information much appreciated

Re: Delivery time

If you are getting that the red arc brake controller might interest you as well. The unit goes up in the dashboard with a remote controller - placed in a switch blank - far neater than my current set up in Pathfinder with the controller under the dash

Re: Delivery time

The only issue with the Redarc's is that they aren't proportional. So you set the power, and when you apply the brake, you get all of that force in one go. With proportional controller like the Tekonshas, you set a max brake force, the point just before lock up, but it will only reach that under full brake force. Until then you get a progressive amount just like as you but little to more force on the cars brakes.

Re: Delivery time

Snuke

I checked on the Red Arcwebsite again and the EBRH unit states that the braking force can be adjusted / is proportional and that the red light glows more strongly depending how much braking you are doing. The U tube Pat C video also states same thing. Is the EBRH unit the one you are talking about?

Because of the drivers knee airbag the dealers will only install the remote controllers

Re: Delivery time

Hi All, I have just found this thread and would like to ask is there any way to chase the vehicle once it gets into Australia? Mine landed in Melbourne on the 23rd February and still has to do that customs stuff then freighted here to me in Alice Springs NT through the dealer, I have contacted the dealer today to see if they have a ETA on it yet but they said even they can not chase it and said it should take at least 21 days from the day the boat docks before they will get it here. I just want my car, been like 6 months and getting very impatient.

Re: Delivery time

Call Prix Cars, they do the pre delivery before your dealer gets it. They will have a timeline as long as the dealer has requested the vehicle.
They will want your E number. There is nothing weird about calling them, they deal with end receivers and personal importers all the time.

HI,
Thanks Snuke, I called them 3 times and on the third I just said I was the dealer and I have the "E" number and need to chase the vehicle for the customer... I got a answer :-) my car has left Melbourne and is sitting in Adelaide depot getting ready for freight to Alice Springs with a ETA of 11th March.. :-)
Thanks heaps for the heads up :-)

Re: Delivery time

WTH??
I have just found out that yet another 3-4 weeks has been added to my delivery time to the Jeep. so it docks in Australia on 23rd February and I now have a ETA of late March to early April. Seriously beyond a joke now that it takes a Jeep Australia 4-6 weeks once in Australia to get a car to a owner that ordered it in September for a delivery of 18th December 2013. but keeps getting blown out and now to April?? Really. Well it has made out mind up not to order the wife's Jeep we been looking at. Time to reconsider her car and possibly mine as well.
