Engine brake

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if there is a way to turn on our engine brakes with out being in 4Lo. Use it as a Jake brake like the transport do.

I cannt see why you can not do it, jsut the auto may need to lock up or make sure you are in a lower gear

Re: Engine brake

This might be a stupid question, but why? Is it less mechanical strain on the braking system or short stopping distance? Thanks.

Re: Engine brake

I'm a trucker and we use the jake brakes a lot to slow down. Just wondered if I could do it with my CRD jeep
