Fused and Confused

Today I went to Autobarn to get some fuses. I pulled the F57 fuse to see wat they look like ... Autobarn had none to fit. When I was putting it back I dropped the fuse .... gone somewhere. So down to Northern Jeep to get a new one.

The manual says that F57 is a 15amp related to the transmission. The lid of the fuse box says it a 20 amp for the HID headlamps.

Anyway Northern Jeep don't stock fuses ....... WTF .... "We can order one in" .... which one the 15 or the 20?????

So over to the workshop I go to get some help .... good guys there sorted it out ... simple really ... just turned on the head lights and the left one didn't shine. In goes a 20amp fuse they had in the workshop and I'm on my way.

SO the lesson here is toss the manual .... rely on the fuse box lid.

Regards

Rob

Re: Fused and Confused

speaking of fuses love the option in the fuse panel to change from acc12v supply to constant 12v supply with the flip of a fuse

Re: Fused and Confused

I had a similar problem with fuses last trip. At Emerald in Qld and blew a fuse in the 12v rear accessory plug. No fuses to be found anywhere. Tried at different places all the way home and no one stocked the micro mini fuses.
Got home to my dealer and they had heaps in stock so I got a bunch of them all (cheap as chips) and put them in the glove box.
Seems like Jeep are ahead of the game here and other manufacturers are getting ready to change to micro mini's.
