Check out anything that relates to the Mercedes Benz model range that uses the same motor, the ML320 is in identical tune to our baby's and the ML270 is actually a de-tuned version of the same

Sure am. Easy install, great sound, perfect looks... Best (and still only?) choice for any CRD owner!

My most recent CRD mod...

Re: Grand Cherokee CRD performance thread

Nice install on the intake. I have a drop in filter and would love a CAI but as you know there isn't one for the CRD. I see that you don't have a housing around the cone. Aren't you worried about it becoming a "Hot Air Intake" just sucking in warm/hot air from inside the engine bay?

Yeah, I keep meaning to build a heat shield. When moving, air has a pretty direct flow from through the grill (also kinda worries me when I have to drive through a heavy rain) so I'd think it gets pretty cool air. But I do agree that it needs one! someday

Re: Grand Cherokee CRD performance thread

My mods are as follows. K&N drop in filter, I gutted the black, kidney shaped turbo resonator that's on the front of the engine to increase air flow, and installed the MBRP exhaust. Plan to do the InMotion tune with EGR reduction once I pass 10k miles.

Checked the exhaust web site, didn't have anything for the WK. It just listed a 2.8 CRD Liberty. Where did you get yours?

Re: Grand Cherokee CRD performance thread

Bought mine at truckcustomizers.com. Had some fitment issues but got them straightened out on my own. Had to use different exhaust clamps than the ones that came with the system. Also had to get new rubber exhaust hangers. Happy with it over all.

did the fitment issues arise because the system was for the Liberty and not our CRD?
