I'm going to the States soon for a work related class I need. While I'm there, I'm hoping to be able to buy a 2007 CRD-GC and ship it home to Panama.
After reading about the OM642, it seems I need to install a catch for the closed crankcase ventilation piece as well as check the turbo intake seal. Has anybody fitted the catch can with out a filter and is it best to make a return line back to the turbo?
Also, for me, it seems like a good idea would be to remove the dpf and weld in a straight pipe (dpf delete), using a new program from custom spooling. Has anybody with the WK-CRD done this? And can you tell me if high sulfur diesel is hurtful to this engine.
Before I'm questioned on it, 2007 is better for import duties.
