Question P0340 Fault Code

Hello, I am in Meyerton South Africa. My 2004 Grand Cherokee 2.7 CRD develops a P0340 fault intermittently (I can reset it by switching off for 10 seconds and restarting) - recently it was very embarrassing on a steep uphill where even the big trucks were needing to overtake! I heard that the sensor could be dirty so can someone help me to: a) Find the sensor b) advise how I remove it c) tell me if there are other possible causes.
