Talking Re-maps coming the weekend.....

I've been looking on the internet in the uk for a while now,and i've decided the times right to take the plunge......i've gone for a full remap by Angel Tuning with performance air filter......the price is good as they have an offer on at the moment with air filter package included.

Angel tuning have a good rep with alot of uk forums which is why i chose them.....and the results for others have been very good.....
The package for the 3.0CRD are as follows.....

BHP before: 218 After: 258 bhp

lb ft before : 376 After: 431 lbft

MPG estimated increase of 6-8mpg......

They're booked in on the driveway at 12.30 Saturday,he said it may take a couple of hours with pre-runs and post runs to ensure all's good.
They check everything beforehand to ensure every thing is servicable before they start and take it for a run to sound it all out, all sounds very proffesional.....lol

We will soon see....................

Karl....

That's Impressive numbers!
My last diesel was a VW TDI. I put in a
diesel tuning box and the increase torque was amazing. The 4cyl pulls like a V6.

Re: Re-maps coming the weekend.....

The results............wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...What a difference ,i must admit i wasn't expecting to actually feel as much improvment as i did but talk about pull....

O.K Andy from Angel Tuning turned up exactly on time,a short chat as to what i was looking for and a cup of coffee later and he gets on with it.
First the laptop was plugged in and everthing checked and copied for back-up.Diagnostics checked next ,followed by a road test. All was determind to be fine so the new map was loaded.
Now the bit i was interested in...can you actually feel the difference, well anybody with the 3.0CRD will tell you, they pull well as standard......now my house is on a decent hill that you have drive up to get to the main road,so Andy gets it off the drive i'm in the passenger seat and he says lets see.........he floors it from a slow roll and ***k meeeee ,it actually makes my neck twinge at the back.....it even suprises him we both had a grin from ear to ear.....then we took it on the dual carriage way just near me and the legal speed limit was reached a lot qiucker than it used too.
The increase in torque alone is amazing and the delivery is so linear,it doesn't feel it will stop pulling. To say the least i am very impressed.
Now i know its early days, and daily running will be a better measure for MPG and useability but first impressions are good,it feels, acts and sounds as standard...but better.
As for new figures on the engine ,without going on a rolling road to get accurate figures its unknown but i would say from what i've felt it will be at least what the re-map promised if not more.....
I'll keep you posted how it goes but for now i'm happy.....

Karl.....
