Re: speedo correction in 2005 Grand cherokee WK CRD

Hi Folks,

I live in Germany and recently bought a used '05 WK CRD. So far I went with a 2" OME suspension and now I am shopping for new tires. My size of choice would be the 245/75R17 Goodyear silent armor on the OEM rims. This will give me about 5-6% increase in tire diameter and I will have to adjust the speedo.

Does anybody know about some kind of module to correct the tire size? Could a Chrysler/ Jeep dealer just programm it?

Are the known products which could help suitable for a europeen 3.0CRD Grand Cherokee?

I also took a pic of the upper control arm bolt and the limited space to the tire. I guess the bigger tire will just fit, if not the bolt has to be trimmed. As I always mount those kind of bushings with an air tool the long thread including the spanner grip is not a must...

Thx for helping

Harald

you need the AEV EGR Module to adjust the speedo. http://www.aev-conversions.com/products/modules/

or maybe the superchips.

check with both about an export model support.

I have the ProComp AccuPro unit and it worked fine for my Canadian 08 CRD.
