Where is Camshaft Position Sensor

2008 Grand Cherokee CRD ---- I got my engine light on and code shows P0340 - camshaft position sensor. I have searched the web high and low, and can't find out where this sensor is located to attempt to replace. Does anyone have any idea where I can find this sensor?

Thanks.

Re: Where is Camshaft Position Sensor

I donīt know if the 3.0 diesel engine in your WK has it at the same position as the 2.7 in the WG, but here is a page from the 2.7 manual.

Frank...not sure myself, but will pull off the cover and see if I can find it there. I spent an hour "looking around" yesterday and just struck out. I am hoping the 3.0 matches your picture. I will let you know - and thanks for the help.
