This is the best way to wash your truck/car IMO... you don't have to buy the grit guards for the bottom but they definitely help from inducing new swirls/scratches. Dark colored cars/trucks show more swirls/scratches so this might help a lot of here!!! This is Mike Phillips and he knows his stuff!!!! He runs the meguiar's forums.

I am going to start using this method this weeekend! And Im gonna make my OWN grit guard and cart for teh buckets!!!

the cart i plan on making myself as well!!! the grit guards i wouldn't!!! i read a few places that those grit guards have those wings at the bottom that actually keep the dirt at the bottom... Home made ones tend not to keep the dirt at the bottom! the grit guards are $10 each

brilliant black has the sparkley flakes in it:) it shines all diff colors in the sun LOL but i like it

swirls - suck a$$!!! they are caused when the dirt is still on your wash media and you rub that wash media all over the paint. the two bucket prevents/limits that especially when you use the grit guard. swirls can also be caused when you are drying your truck or QD your truck. if there is any dirt on the paint or on your cloth when touching the paint you are spreading that piece of dirt all over your paint and it is scratching the clear coat:( on black/dark colors swirls show the most!!!

BLAH, lol. I live in an apartment and rent out a driveway. The lady doesnt offer her hose.

So basically I do not have access to my own hose and spending 10 bucks or so to go to a car wash a week is kinda killer. (yes im cheap).

Thanks again for the info irf lol
