Thumbs up Adam's Americana Premium Carnauba Paste Wax

Yup, I got some and tried it out this afternoon. First I clayed and used a light polish.
As many here know I am an huge Collinite #915 fan so this was a tuff sell for me. I have to tell you so far I am really impressed. I say so far because I am a beadaholic (thread here My name is Rick and I am a beadaholic ) and #915 is as good as it gets IMHO(so far).
I have to say Adam's is easy to apply and very easy to remove (remember I am used to 915...not so easy).
I had to laugh because when I use Collinite I put it on with my Flex (black pad) and remove it with a microfiber bonnet over a stiffer pad. This time I thought I would go with the experience of hand applying and removing. Let's just say I am thinking now that I am too old for the "experience" but, I did it anyway. Shine is very good and the paint feels really soft/slick does that make sense? I would definitely recommend it... well, that is if you think Carnauba Paste Wax is better than rubbing your car down with wet clay and dirt
I cant wait until it rains!

Re: Adam's Americana Premium Carnauba Paste Wax

Thanks for the review!!

As you've noticed, it doesn't get much easier to use in the world of paste waxes than Americana. Offers great protection, incredible gloss and depth, and is easy to use.

$70 may seem like a lot for wax, but there's 40-45 applications in each pot. Price per coat is relatively inexpensive if you break it down like that.

Re: Adam's Americana Premium Carnauba Paste Wax

I tried this tonight. I did my first proper clean of the car after owning it for 6 months. I wasn't sure if I would get the wax done.
Washed, clayed, washed, glaze, two coats of sealant. At 11:20pm I decided to do at least one coat of wax.
It went on soooooo easy (I'm sure the sealant helped) and buffed off with no effort what so effort. The car looks so very slick now, and yes soft as you said Rick. I got two coats done, all buffed off and inspected with a torch. Finished up at 12:10am.
Applied manually with the great Adams Hex applicator. It went on so easy I can't see the need for using a powered applicator. Those hex applicators are just awesome.

Was grateful for the eucalyptus style smell too after getting very sick of the sweet smelling products used throughout the day.
I don't get to see the car in daylight for a week now.

Nice work Snuke!

Finishing up after midnight is great dedication...or a sign that you have a major mental sickness, either way.

Re: Adam's Americana Premium Carnauba Paste Wax

Nick any thoughts on why the paint feels so soft? I have been using paste wax for a very long time and have never had paint feel like that

Re: Adam's Americana Premium Carnauba Paste Wax

I'm not sure about the "softness" factor in terms of feel, but a good carnauba will give a soft or glowing look to the paint, whereas a sealant is typically described as "plasticky" since it's so reflective.
