Re: Bug Removal

Try some WD-40. Spray directly on your Jeep first and let it soak a few minutes & then spray some on a shop rag and wipe. This should remove them fairly easy without a lot of scrubbing. Then wash your Jeep.

Re: Bug Removal

WD40 is a good choice.

Having a good coat of wax on the car also makes it easier.

Re: Bug Removal

WD 40 will not harm your paint. I had a prior post about tar removal and used this to remove tar from all over my Jeep, including the wheels and it worked great and did not harm the paint. I just made sure to wash & wax my Jeep once the tar was all gone.

Re: Bug Removal

Never thought of using WD40. Might try it for in small quantities for stubborn tar
Googling its safety for paint, there seems to be a question about it stripping off
wax. Can anyone comment firsthand?

For bugs, I use ONR, in a spray bottle at a much higher concentration than a
normal ONR wash, to presoak the bugs for 5-10 minutes. Then I just do a regular
ONR wash of the affected area, using plenty of microfiber wash towels.
