Pretty much. If you explore most of the professional detailers on You Tube, most all of them buy their clay in bulk from detail supply places on line who have the best price at the time. They go through so much of it that it makes it far more affordable for them. These guys use it on $300,000.00+ Ferrari's and the like with great results. The weekend home detailer who only uses it a couple of times a year tops, can go with the more expensive, but easier to get Mothers and Maguire's Clay Bar Kits. For many of them it's a one shot deal. And even if it isn't, they don't use it often enough, and because of that it will most likely dry out before they use it again.

Re: Clay bar

Look into Nanoskin products-they're pretty popular on Autogeek. No more clay for me.
