Clean polish radar sensor in the lower grill

I ran my finger over that thing this morning and as expected it has all kinds of nicks and scratches on it from being so low. Anyone tried to polish it with something like Meguiar's PlastX?

OK clearly I must be crazy. No one has thought of using some type of plastic polish on the dude?

Two-up is on a distinguished road
Re: Clean polish radar sensor in the lower grill

I'm curious what the manufacturer recommends.

? maybe one of the plastic headlight refurb kits?
The lighter duty ones to make it a bit harder to mess it up?

As long as its working, I'd be more likely to leave it.

Re: Clean polish radar sensor in the lower grill

I put 3m Scotchgard film on mine when it was new and seems to be working well.

Re: Clean polish radar sensor in the lower grill

I use Plexus on everything plastic/acrylic. It's great for a frequent clean/shine and is meant for the fine stuff but it won't remove the nicks. I use it on my motorcycle windshield and it rocks.

Let me know what you come up with as mine is getting dinged pretty good from the Cleveland rock salt and lovely roads we have here. Yours in the 'Bus are about the same.

The front of my hood (around the Jeep logo) looks like the moon
