DA purchase decisions?

Looking to pick up a DA - trying to decide between the Porter Cable 7424xp or the Flex 3401.

Right now I'm leaning towards buying the Flex since it will be easier to use and it does the work for you.

Anyone have any impressions or advice of their own?

Re: DA purchase decisions?

Im on my second PC....have the XP now and wouldnt trade it for anything. Ive had great luck with the PC. The older PC I had is still going strong for its new owner. No idea what the Flex even is/......LOL

Re: DA purchase decisions?

Thanks Scott, I know the PC's are really good and I've actually used them.
The Flex is really good from all the reviews I've seen and pretty effortless in operation.

Re: DA purchase decisions?

I had a Dewalt DA and got a Flex last year. If you can swing it, get the Flex

Re: DA purchase decisions?

From what I've read about the flex it is great. I own a PC and have been thinking of getting the flex but just havent puled the trigger. Either will get the job done just gotta go with what you can afford.

Really appreciate the feedback guys. I think I'm going to invest the extra cash and pick up the Flex. Thanks.

Did you end up getting the Flex? If so, what has been your experience with using it? Would you recommend it? Thank you.

If you have the coin, I would do it. I love mine.

Re: DA purchase decisions?

I got to try a flex at the local detail supply place, it will be coming home with me, i have Griots Garage. I hear Rupes are awesome but they are more coin than the flex! I tried dewalt, makita, and another one that they sell, the flex felt the most comfortable to use, I put all my weight on it and it didn't bog down, lightweight, and internally powder coated, it's worth it.
