Exactly as the title says. On my WK there are some water stains on the headliner around the sunroof and in the rear cargo area that have been there since I bought it. I'm afraid to use anything on it since apparently water will stain it. This headliner material is totally different from the WJ which I had no problems cleaning with mild detergent and water.
make up a mixture of water and woolite...not too sudsy. Dampen the mf with the mixture and scrub in a circular motion. Then dab dry with another mf towel
i would try woolite and diltilled water at a 10:1 ratio first(also great for leather) and if that isn't engough, you can make the ratio stronger 7:1, 4:1
use w/mf towels and then dab dry with dry mf towels
scott is on point... also can clean your leather and visors with this solution.
My jeep had those dreaded white stains on the cloth seats when I bought it. One day I made it worse by dropping an iced cappuccino - whipped cream side down of course - on the passenger seat. Paper towels could only do so much and the mess had run under the back of the seat. The only thing for it was the garden hose, directing the spray out the open passenger door. It got rid of the whipped cream and coffee no problem, and to my surprise the white stains came out too. The seat looked like new….still does. Not recommending “Timmie’s” icedcap as a cleaning solution but it worked for me…or maybe it was just the rinsing with the garden hose LOL.
yeah that stuff won't work on cloth seats too well... chris try dilluting meguiars apc+ at a 10:1 or 7:1 or 4:1 ratio!!! that stuff is awesome for interior cloth cleaning!!!! detailedimage.com has the cheapest price on the net right now for it
I had some stupid water stains on the rear of my headliner due to my sat. radio antenna leaking. I used the woolite and water solution. I had to do the whole damn headliner due to it just kept staining on the edge of where I would stop cleaning. I did it all and now it looks new.
It has always been the headliner that got to be the challenging problem in a vehicle particularly when there is a stain or uncomfortable smell. Cleaning a headliner properly can help extend its life by years, possibly decades. This had been helpful for me, How to clean your car headliner.
