Until recently, the weather has been so bad (crazy amounts of snow and rain), or I've been out of town, that I've only been able to wash it once before. That, and it's garage kept so the paint is in great shape. I just want to protect its current state.

dont use the clay bar then....just strip the paint..use the blackfire and then carnuaba. Does the blackfire require a curing time like most sealers? I would wait atleast 6 hours and then do another coat. Wait overnight and then do the carnuaba.

Yeah, it does. They recommend 8 hours.

1000x correct... the wax and sealant just lockup the hardwork from polishing

yup! brilliant black is a little better at hiding the swirls...

do not use a mild clay! use a reg clay if anything... have you ever hand washed ur truck? most likely you already have swirls on it!

take a pic in the direct sun and post up a pic

I know claying wont brighten the paint, I just thought it would be good prep for the sealant, but not if it adds any micro marring.
Actually, the claybar will brighten the paint a bit after removing all the imperities. I don't use a sealant because it traps everything underneath (even minor dust) just use a good wax and do it twice a year.

If you're only waxing twice a year, your paint is unprotected most of the time.

I ended up doing two coats of Blackfire Wet Diamond (sealant) and one coat of Blackfire Midnight Sun (carnauba). PHOTOS
