Modesta BC-04 on Jeep Grand Cherokee

There are a lot of coating options available to car owners looking for long term protection solutions. Modesta coatings are glass coatings (si02 / silica) that provide many years of protection that can be upwards of 5 microns in thickness. This Jeep received the P01a primer along with a mack-daddy application of BC-04. It has a bit of shine.

Re: Modesta BC-04 on Jeep Grand Cherokee

Very nice. I use 22PLE, Gtechniq C1/Exo V2 and I'm going try Kamikaze ISM coat and Kamikaze Infinity wax(wax with glass coating mixed in). I use Kamikaze Overcoat to maintain the coating, helps eliminate spotting, keeps up the beading. I've had spotting problems with coatings before, and the Overcoat has eliminated that. Wife's jeep was not washed for 5 weeks, had salt on it, rain, sat at the airport, etc. Washed it up and it was like I just put the coating on. Look up Esoteric Car Care, that's where I get it, and Todd the owner is a very well known detailer in the country. They are great at answering questions. Nice jeep.
It's funny, people don't want to put in the time for a coating, but smear Turtle wax on the car all the time to "keep it nice" on a $50k jeep.

Here's a couple pics. Jeep had 22PLE VX1 Pro topped with Esoteric Signature Series wax. Denali has 22PLE VX1 Pro topped with Kamikaze overcoat. I originally topped the Denali with Esoteric Wax, then removed it and applied the Kamikaze. Our current jeep is white and has Gtechniq C1/Exo V2 topped with Kamikaze Overcoat.

Wow really nice on the modesta, I wanted to get this for my ride but the closest installer is about 4 hours away, so went with opticoat pro instead, if there was a dealer closer I would have definitely got the modesta. That stuff is crazy, saw a demo vid of a cured block dipped in acid

Did you pick up your product at Esoteric?

Re: Modesta BC-04 on Jeep Grand Cherokee

Buckeye...yes I did. Todd and those folks are great over there. I live by North Canton, so if I order in the morning, next afternoon I have it. Talk to Bonnie, she'll get you taken care of. I started following him a few years ago when he brought out his wax and introduced 22PLE to the US, and I figure if he's using it, it's more than good enough for me...but I want to try all his stuff he uses. I've been using some of the Gyeon products too, pretty nice stuff...haven't tried their coatings, but some of their soaps and spray sealers on my truck. I just picked up Kamikaze Miyabi coat, I have the Infinity wax to top and maintain with Overcoat. I'm gonna polish off the Gtechniq on the jeep, and I have 22PLE VX1 on my charger. The denali I did, he got it all spotted, so I'm gonna try the Kamikaze spot remover that's coating safe, then maybe polish off and do Kamikaze ISM followed by Infinity wax. I think actually the Miyabi is a "harder" coating than the ISM and gives more sealant look, the ISM gives more carnauba look. I've got a bunch of 22PLE to use up and some Gtechniq C1 and Exo V2 too on some cars I've got lined up to do. I absolutely love Overcoat...seems to prevent spotting on the coating, and isn't bothered by all the little water drips the jeep has. After I flood the paint, I just mist Overcoat smear around with one microfiber, buff with a second and done. Doesn't seem to "top up" things like Gtechniq G1...leaves a haze that just won't buff, but nothing seems to top up G1, strong stuff. Overcoat works well over things like Gtechniq C2/V3 very well too. My truck has something different on pretty much every panel, it sits out 24/7 and sees lots of miles and environments...steel mills, oil fields, landfills, and lots of highways.

Buckeye, I did all Kamikaze coatings...Myabi, ISM, And Infinity Wax on the Grand, all from Esoteric. ISM coat on the trim, Gyeon rim on wheels, Gyeon trim on all engine bay plastics, and Infinity wax all door edges, under hood.
