Smile Mud Proof Jeep

Got sent a link of this YouTube video today, thought it may interest some of you guys.

I had my JGC fully protected with G|Techniq products and they are fricking awesome. Dashboard, glass, leather and paintwork sealants are just so good - highly recommend them personally.

Re: Mud Proof Jeep

Did you apply this sealer your self or is it something you had to have a pro do? What is the cost of the application and how often must it be reapplied? Does mud and other crap wash off just as easily after it dries? It's one thing to rinse the stuff off with water when it's wet and fresh.

Certainly looks promising, Thanks for sharing.

I applied all the products myself. Whilst not a professional in the sense of the word I do it as my sole trade I have done a lot of training with regards to detailing over the past 7 years - draw the line at wet sanding though!

They are very easy to use; just wash, de-tar, IronX, clay and polish as normal then do an IPA wipe down to remove all the oils from the paint. Grab the 'make-up' pad from the G|Techniq bottle and work your way round the car following the instructions - less it more.

Durability wise, I had it on for 6 months when I scrapped the Jeep and it was still beading like mad and a hose removed the majority of the dirt. 1 year is claimed and I would say it is attainable - I didn't use their shampoo which does top the finish up too.

Products are quite expensive but really all you need to do is wash the car and dry it - no faffing around waxing it every month etc and it says cleaner inbetween washes.
