Nu Finish ??

+1 on both the 303 Aerospace Protectant and Westley's Bleche-Wite; been using both for years and couldn't be more pleased with the performance of both! I use No Touch Tire Care after scrubbing tires with the Bleche-Wite; leaves a beautiful appearance. I've been a Zaino fan until I started reading this thread - Ima try me some Nu Finish as I've become disappointed in how quickly the Zaino is wearing off my autos.

Re: Nu Finish ??

Well, I went this morning and bought a new fancy wash mitt, and a Clay Bar Kit. I bought the Meguire's kit. It came with 2 clay bars, a bottle of the stuff you spray on to make the clay glide over the paint, and a nice Microfiber towel.

I washed the whole vehicle, and dried it. Then I detailed all the plastic under the hood, and on the body. After that I went after it with the clay bar. The clay bar works unbelievably well! The trick is to do a small area at a time. My wife helped me wiping and buffing with the Microfiber towel as I sprayed and clay barred the whole car. What a difference! It's amazing how much crap that clay bar pulled out of the paint of a brand new, freshly washed car.

After it was wiped dry, the paint and clear coat was slicker than snot. I ran out of gas and was getting tired, and it was getting too sunny and hot to wax it today. I'll get out at first light tomorrow, and hit the whole thing with Nu Finish. It's going to look like liquid glass when I'm done. This is the first time I've enjoyed doing a car this much in years. The results really show. The clay bar is definitely the cats a$$! I can't wait to do my 1991 Ford F-150 with it. I bet I'll get enough dirt out of the finish to start a vegetable garden.

I tried the Auto Glym spray for rubber and vinyl, works great and it's not greasy. I also use it on my black plastic fenders . I picked it up at Canadian Tire.

Re: Nu Finish ??

I backed it out of the garage at first light this morning, and got started with the Nu Finish. When I finished the entire vehicle looked like white liquid glass. Really nice! Well worth the effort. I still have about a third of a bottle left. That was after doing my full size 8 ft. bed F-150 with a camper shell, and the new Grand Cherokee.

Nu Finish really made the wheels look good. Super shiny, and wiped on and off real easy. After I finished with the paint, chrome, and wheels, I hit all of the black plastic around the car, and under the hood with Meguire's Ultimate Protectant. It's a thick white milky liquid that works well. Not too shiny, and dries nice without being tacky. Now I'm done! Nothing left to do but drive this puppy!

Re: Nu Finish ??

This morning I was driving it in "Sport Mode" for the first time. I love the way the Paddle Shifters work. Once you get used to driving with them, you can really save a lot of wear and tear on your brakes by downshifting coming up to a light.

It's really effortless once to get the hang of it. It's pretty neat how if you up shift too fast, and get the car in too high of a gear for your speed, it will come up, "Shift Not Allowed". With 8 speeds it keeps you really busy tapping up and down on the paddles. Really fun. I'm liking this thing more every time I drive it!
