Re: Proper way to Debadge?

Im kinda anal about when im washing my jeep and then i get to the bloody emblems and without like a cotton swab around and in the lettering isnt gonna get clean! THEN they haven't been touched like that for 4 years so it had some lovely build up of crap. Goo Gone then scratch x 2.0 for like 45min on the whole lift gate with my buffer got it good... PLUS made me realize how i need to stay on it longer on the rest of my jeep to get the swirls and scratches out! Thats another weekend though...

ah yeah... turtle waxed it too.. I love that stuff...

Re: Proper way to Debadge?

Try some Meguiar's exterior spray trim detailer on that cargo step. It will renew the black, and make it look new.

Re: Proper way to Debadge?

I have recently discovered that if you are removing anything attached with 3m tape and there is tape left over after removal, warm up the surface, either in the sun or with a hair dryer. Then take a micro fiber cloth and wrap your thumb with it and start to roll it off. the stuff comes off real easy, no mess, no scratches etc.

Re: Proper way to Debadge?

on past vehicles I have just used WD-40 to remove the residue and sticky stuff.... works great and is really CHEAP!
