Sorry, no idea what you are talking about here.

Here is a video I did back in 2010:

Very difficult to listen to somebody who feels he knows everything there is to know about ANY given subject, including automobile finish maintenance. I like to think I'm always ready to learn.
And when you say you "don't have to know how to wash your car properly" you lose all credibility.
A DETAILER should know how to do all phases of automobile finish maintenance properly...including washing. That's why the title is DETAILER.

The moral here...the one thing we can take away is this:
Never argue with an idiot..They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Really, you want to learn something? Well, obviously you did not learn I do not know everything about all given subjects, and this remarks show that .When did I say this:"don't have to know how to wash your car properly" you lose all credibility.

You just continue to press this propaganda which means what ? That you can only relate to what wax products do, and how to maintain them. If i was talking about wax products, then maybe your comment here would be relevant. Although, I am not.

I think the moral here is: People who call people idiots, are normally the idiots, and people who say they want to learn something usually want to argue with you.

I do...yet I've learned nothing from this thread other than the fact that Realistic Detailer talks in circles and has yet to reveal his Jedi Master trick for detailing our Jeeps. My head hurts...

Who asked you to waste your precious 25 minutes of life reading it anyways.
You bitch about recking your post, and you are doing the same thing by responding with this nugget of experience:

it was covered over by a thick layer of bullshit

the bullshit is you pounding your chest about the one product that you use and everything else is a waste cause you have said so. And this is a public information site where members READ different threads to improve their insite on a problem or product.

Sorry for that, but it is hard to stay focused when people make comments with no substance, but then they say they want to learn something.

I do not have a Jedi mind trick here, but just common sense.I am trying to make detailing less complicated, and not harder. Unfortunate today detailing forums are overwhelming people with all these products, and knowledge they have to learn.

The point here is not to load your finish with greasy wax to trap bad things in them, but to apply a product that keeps bad things from attaching to the clear coat.

The reason I use the earth/clay mixture is to remove the bad things in the safest manner, and use a product like Opti Coat to prevent any future damage. From there it is pretty simple, just wash with Dawn and use a spray detailer for extra gloss.
