Re: Solution for getting rain spots out of paint?

red applicator pad (foam) from DI.. these are my ONLY water spots on the Jeep... the rest of the Jeep is free of them.

try a yellow one from pepboys or some other store, also try microfiber applicator pad with the stuff you have already(UC)

What about water spots on the chrome trim? I've tested a few different cleaners and metal polishes in addition to vinegar that some people recommend with no luck so far.

Turtle wax chrome polish as well as maguiars UC should pull that right out even a bug and far could help.

Re: Solution for getting rain spots out of paint?

CarPro Iron X should pretty much get mosty anything without having to go to the buffer yet...on chrome, some good old chrome polish should do the trick. I always start small, with some chemical removal, then if necessary move up to clay, then buffing/polishing. I too usually only have a couple spots that don't require polishing a whole panel, and I hate trying to get that one little spot and put some light hazing in the good paint around it trying to polish it out, then you have to fix the whole a big area or atleast the size of where the pad touched.
