Whats your guys opinion of zaino?

yea i got the stuff in september and used it. The stuff that makes it expensive is the excellerator stuff that they tell you to mix with it to actually put mulitple layers on in a decent amount of time. I liked it but I really dont have much experience to compare it to. I had used liquid black magic a long time ago on another car and that stuff was crap.

I did find that applying the zaino on the car was better the way I did it compared to the zaino guys recommended way. I watched a video of how the zaino guy tells how to apply it to the car, he demos on a corvette. He explains to go in a straight line without really rubbing it in.

I did it the exact same way as him, used very little etc and I found that the wax was a little streaky when applyed which made it more difficult to remove because it was thick where is was streaky. I found that actually rubbing it in with the pad a little made a big difference when it came time to remove because it was in a even thin layer.

Overpriced????

One coat alone will last 6 months outside 24/7 and the finish is equivalent to $1k+ waxes. One bottle will do a car about 30 times...

ZFX is pricy for what you get but you only need that if you want to apply 3 layers in one day. I'd highly recommend Zaino to anyone who wants a great looking and durable sealant.

It is important to remember however, if your paintwork is covered in swirls then you would be better using a cheaper 'filler' wax as Zaino magnifies any visible defect in the paint so you really need to spend a little more time on the polishing stage.

yea it can be. Im always wanting to try new things as well. It gives an excellent glossy shine and ive heard the protection is hard to beat. I just dont like that you have to put such thin coats on, its often hard to see when applying. Ive heard the p21s gives excellept depth and richness. I want to try something with a little more body to it.

what do people mean that its overpriced though? There are alot of waxes that cost more. Zaino is like 13-14 bucks for a 8oz bottle whereas P21s is 49.99 for a 6oz. Just dont understand what you guys mean by overpriced. All you really need is a 13 dollar bottle of Z2 pro polish/wax and the excellerator(19.99) which comes out to 35 bucks for a 8 oz thing of wax, again this is cheaper than the 6 oz container of P21s.

the only reason why I say that is because I use mothers wax on my PX8 black clear coat paint and the outcome is amazing ... there are more expensive products out there and better products ... I was just stating my point of view for someone who likes to be on a budget and can afford a wax that does the same job for less ...

i c, totally understand the affordability aspect. That accelerator stuff that is 19.99 is going to last you a couple bottles of wax as well so really its even cheaper.

well I just checked mcguiars prices on the pro line wax. That stuff is only 13.99 for a 16oz bottle which is double the size of zaino. Maybe thats why people say its over priced. I havent heard people really say that P21s is overpriced so maybe they think zaino is an inferior product to it.

the zcs........its a very thin liquid IIRC.....

i used a pad. i spray it directly on the jeep one little spritz goes along way.

i bought a bunch of zaino when i bought my jeep, august 2007. I have not finished one item except the final detail spray cause I broke the top and it leaked out.....

I can only recommend products I have personally used. I am not one for reading something on an internet forum and basing my opinion on that. I like to use the products myself. I have never used the Zaino...but the prices always deterred me. But it seems the prices have come down some.
I can without a shadow of a doubt say the current combo Im using is the best i have used. My jeep has made it through this winter and I still have a good layer of protectant on. I use the combo of Meguiers #21 sealant and P21s carnuaba.(multiple coats of each) I will add the p21s can be used on moldings etc. as well.
