Re: Autostick Question

BJBSRT, Great post. BTW, how the hell do you manage to get the front wheels off the ground on the SRT8 from a dead stop? I just noticed that in your tag line....saweet.

The SRT trans most certainly upshifts all by itself while in autostick.

This is strange... I have(2) 2007 GC SRT8. Both of them always upshifted on their own when the RPM reach, whatever, max RPM in drive, or whatever the value is.

But the WK Jeep site list this. I have never seen a "upshift" message. Maybe I was to busy looking out the window!! LOL

"When in the Autostick mode, as the engine RPM nears the engine maximum speed, an “UPSHIFT” message will appear in the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) portion of your instrument cluster. This message appears in order to alert the driver that the engine speed is approaching it’s maximum value and a upshift to the next gear is required. In the event that the driver does notupshift, the engine control system will limit the engine speed to protect the engine."
