Knocking Noise I just cant find where
I have a 2006 Jeep SRT8, 53,000 miles on the clock.
I bought the car 4 months ago and I really got ripped off in garage bills, so far its had
2 new rear bump stops
1 new power steering rack
apparently 1 front differential bush ( I am not so sure they acctually changed this)
and a new set of pads
I've also had the diff oils changed, power steering fluid T case and auto box done.
However I have an issue where if I go over a bump or a speed bump , or a road with bumps , or causes one wheel to be higher than the other, you feel this clunk through the pedals and steering wheel, you can also faintly hear it.
However it does not do it every time, ie you could go over 5 speed bumps and nothing, and then the 6th one depending how high it moved the car or what angle the car took it on, then clunk, if I take a corner going right, at say 40mph and there's a bump around that corner then it will knock
I feel its coming from the left side of the car, I've had it to the dealers they found nothing, Ive had it to two other garages and they checked the suspension etc but they say cant find anything with "play in it"
I also feel the car "wonders" on the high way at around 70 mph even fi the steering wheel isnt moving the car will wonder to the left and right, and veryyy sensitive to road camber
Has anyone else suffered this issue or is there a common issue with the SRT8 doing this?
