Xenon High-beam flicker issue

Okay, I recently bought the Xenon HID High-beam 5000k conversion kit for my Jeep. They came with 2 inline capacitors to plug inline with the OEM plug and the ballast. When I turned them on nothing happened. I then removed the capacitor and they worked. Buuuut..... when i put them on dim t high still flicker like strobes. So, we turned the lights completely off and they still flickered. Now, with no juice going to the high-beams they still seem to flicker when power is shut off them. Now, the flickering only last for some seconds then they finally cut off. Its like the ballast are storing charge. Anyone have this issue?

Heres a short vid to give and idea.

Re: Xenon High-beam flicker issue

Get a relay harness. Those inline capacitors don't do anything.

Re: Xenon High-beam flicker issue

I love how SO MANY companies sell these cheap kids with refering to use relay harnesses..it mind boggles me, it really does....

They give people cheap gizmos to try and prevent it, but it never works...

Sounds like a bad ballast to me. I've experienced the same problem in the past.

Both ballast were bad.

Check your relay, the actual mechanics itself. I had a relay get wet and the parts inside the relay cause a bad misfire everytime.

Check relay, then try switching ballasts
