New engine and "intake system"

I've enjoyed the techco twin screw for a while. Solid 10 second jeep in full trim, great instant acceleration, but I've been accumulating some parts for a while, about to get to work making them work now.

Intermission - Tech tip - If anyone was curious about the rocker bones/head straps part numbers - 6.1 vs apache, they really are a little different...

Speaking of heads, Ronnie Crawford is completing the port job on some Apache heads now, with Ferrera 8mm whizbang valves to be backcut and angled, PAC 1555 springs, Victory 10 deg Ti retainers and single groove keepers and guides of suitable spec. I was lucky enough to get him to hand finish a set for me while he was doing Buckwheat's. Sorry no pics yet., well, maybe one or two...

Eddie Gregory and Billy Drakeford at SHR will be putting my block together - machining it in house this week, block is already next door getting fitted for machining.
The Techco twin screw should really like a new 4.18x bore block and ported apache heads.
Will also get an updated SHR War Viking transmission while the block is being switched.





Then again, maybe I could change the lungs, while the engine's out and all...

Cool gadget, but what's it for.....


To control all of this...

Twin Turbo Creations 67/66 ball bearing billet ball buster balls out Jeep turbo kit.

This kit is performing very well on some other builds, well designed, well sized, well balanced, best clamps. Chris is a great vendor.


Gonna need a new intake manifold...


So Ronnie Crawford also ported and machined a beer keg intake to accept a 90mm...

and smoothed the runners and bosses so the air will flow....


Can't have cold turbos..., Chris, the coating done yet?


and I guess I'll need a new badge...

Probably need a Techco for sale thread, too.

So there's the grocery list. Been quietly accumulating for months, which has in itself been lots of fun, especially with all the new turbo builds popping up out there. Have just about everything. Once heads are completed and delivered, a turbo cam of suitable spec will be designed by Eddie and Billy in collaboration with Cammotion, who just happens to have some of Crawford's better turbo cams on file to start with. Not going in the shop just yet, first will be heading up the highway a bit to Jason Wood of Wizard Racing for some safety. Maybe its all done in time to make FL in January 2013.

The bore and hone is done. So is the balance on the crank. Jeep is getting some interior pipes this week. Still waiting for heads to get flowed so we can make a cam....
