Re: Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat(**GLITTER BOYZ**
so I'm having a tough time deciding which color to powdercoat my AEV Pintlers. They're currently argent, which is a nice color but in certaiin light they appear lighter than I'd like (for example).
I'm leaning toward a dark charcoal, or even black, in a satin/semi-gloss finish.
Here's how they look now:
Here's a quick photochop of something darker:
I went to a powdercoating shop yesterday and here's one of the colors that caught my eye, it's "autumn black." It's black but not really. It has metallic colors similar to brilliant black but it's much more subtle, especially because of the low-gloss finish.
sorry for quoting pics...but daym gina!!! elaborate on this job for us?? black inners on OEM HIDS! i want to do this with a pair of used OEM HIDs on ebay. i can very well reatch or make a bracket to use the broken tabbed headlight housings
did you actually do this or is this a PS? looks ill bro. also the wheel choice and colors are also nice. id go with the darker black.
Re: Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat(**GLITTER BOYZ**
you sir have skills! i really like the end result bro. now you got me watching used OEMs for a future project. (if were loaded id buy a set right now and do it in my shop during work hours) ill have to wait to this but looking at the end result is very tempting. ive always wanted to have black inners, esp on OEM HID housings. with the addition of black paint it looks very natural and unique to say the least.
just picked up some goodies at the folks house. a new front frame housing, 2 new black frames, SRT logo tire caps, best shorty antenna out there (in my opinion, its not chubby but sleek) also got the SRT for the front lower grille
i got the oil cap but it came crack** booo returning tomorrow.
Alright don't give me crap about these being cell photos but thats all I have right now . I just installed my new wheels (Its powdercoated Anthracite) :w00t:
Thanks Paul, got them for a good price too. I'm happy these wheels were powdercoated Anthracite, they look awesome. All thats left for the wheels is locks and two new front tires
Thanks, I'll try to get better photos. Yeah they are discontinued, I found a used set (luckily it was local). Theres a couple other sets on sale in JU although only 1 of the sellers is actually willing to respond . I believe they still make this wheel but under the brand Radius and I think only in Europe now.
