1mil$ question:-))

Hi all,
I'm debating with myself:
How "doable" is transforming a sahara into a rubicon ?
I think the mechanical part should be relatively easy
But is the settings a pain ? Can it have a happy ending?
Your insights & thoughts would be much appreciated !
Thank you,
Rafi

Re: 1mil$ question:-))

Its very doable if you have a lot of money. You have to get new axles and lockers sway bar disconnect gears etc, that is if you plan on completely redoing it. Gears alone are going to cost an arm and a leg then you have the $1200 sway bar module, its all very pricey and a lot of work to go behind it, you would honestly be better off just trading in your Sahara for a Rubicon. I was thinking of doing the same with my 07 sport and changed ,y mind when I saw the pricing for everything and traded it in in 2013 for a 13 Rubicon unlimited.

For half what you would paid transforming yours into a rubicon you can make your sahara better than a factory rubicon.

Since he is willing to spend a $1M to do it, I think his budget is just about right on.

Also, I think one has to change out the dash (to the one with space on the left for the extra off-road buttons), and change out the cluster too.

1mil$ question:-))

Thank you all !
I hope that aberrant ideas in certain moments are excusable:-))
Now that you helped me come back on the right track
Only one general info curiosity remains :
What did the receipt for making the sahara better than rubicon include ?

Re: 1mil$ question:-))

You can get (arguably) better;
transfer case
axles
gear ratio
disconnects
drive shafts
wheels
tires
bumpers (if you were thinking of going for a Hard Rock)

The stuff Jeep uses on the Rubicon is good but not necessarily the absolute best. Depends on what you real aim for the Jeep is.....
