I see a lot of cosmetics, have you done anything to improve off road capability?

Re: 2 weeks of ownership

The clear side marker lights, where did you get those? I'm wanting to change the bulbs to white LED's, but I can't find a replacement cap without getting the entire setup (which is like $80 or so, as opposed to the LED and resistor, which combines is like $15)

Nope. More than capable for me in that regard right out of the box.

The fender mounted deals were off of Amazon, and are led replacement units, not just the bulb.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01...ilpage_o03_s00

The front running/parking/signal lamps however, are OE clear units I got from a dealer, and installed LED bulbs in. I took a risk and bought some bulbs off of ebay that claim no fast flash. They were right.

2X Premium LED Canbus 20 SMD 3157 3057 Light Bulb Car LED Cool White No Error | eBay

I installed them last night, and tested. I got fast flash, and said some choice curse words, then MF'd myself for buying bulbs off of Ebay. I decided to leave them in and address with resistors tonight. When I left for work this morning, the fast flash was gone and it didn't do it at all today. No idea why....but they work as advertised! I simply replaced the existing incandescent with these e-bay specials and all is good in the world.

Re: 2 weeks of ownership

Ya, that was what I was trying to avoid (the LED replacements in addition to the caps). I wanted just the clear caps for the side fenders. Reason being, I wanted the same LED's for the front and the side. Already have them picked out on Amazon, with the resistors and all.

Haha, when I was reading the part about you buying LED's that would not hyper flash, I thought to myself (there is no way, he will need resistors). Ha. Ya, I'm in the same boat. It's pretty much a given, I'm sure the led's you bought are fine LED's, but the nature of them is low power consumption, so you will need resistors.

Can you post a picture of the clear LED's (front and side) in the evening or when it's dark? I'd like to see what it looks like

When it gets dark? Dude, it's been dark since November.

I'll get some pics tonight and post them up here. Still no issues with fast flash and no resistors!!!!!

...as per your request. In the last one, I have my OE fogs on so you can get an idea of difference in color temp. These LEDs are advertised as 6000k.

So just to reinforce what's going on here...the fender mounted lights are entire sealed LED fixtures that are 100% plug and play.

The front parking/signals are clear OE fixtures with a drop-in LED bulb off of E-bay. I installed no resistors, and I have no fast flash. I did the day I installed (never turned the engine over...only the key to acc to test). When I fired it up the next day to go to work, it had disappeared on its own overnight and hasn't fast-flashed since after 2 full days of driving.

We can add tint to the list....I took my glass out and tinted it tonight with 20%. Here it is setting up over night.

Busy day today in the garage....tinted glass went back in, carbon mirror covers installed, the whole thing got compounded, polished, sealed, and waxed, and my new plates came in the mail.
