2006 Wrangler - Need to adjust speedometer

My family picked up a 2006 wrangler today and the speedometer is not calibrated to the larger tires that the previous owners put on it. It looks like I need to get a programmer to adjust/re-calibrate the speedometer for the tires. Does anyone have a suggestion on which brand I should look at? I had a superchips for my old Ford and it was decent. Does anyone know of a better brand or have any experience?

I've been searching around for reviews and everything seems about the same as the next.

Thanks!

Re: 2006 Wrangler - Need to adjust speedometer

You may just need to replace a gear in the transfercase to one with more teeth . Check on 4wd.com . or Quadratec .for the correct gear.

here is a link to what you are looking for
http://www.4wd.com/Jeep-Drivetrain-J...pn=CRO52067639

This is a 39 tooth but you will have to look up the correct one for your tire size

Awesome thanks for your help! That will work much better than buying a $300 tuner that will never get used
