Re: 2014 Wrangler - Colors

Update from AllPar site.

2014 Model-Year Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep Cars, Trucks, and Minivans

As has been the case for the last several years, additional special editions (and hopefully colors) may be added in months ahead. That is, in addition to the X and Freedom packages mentioned in the AllPar link. Notice the Hydro Blue color is currently offered only on the Freedom Edition. Chances are Hydro Blue may be available on all other Wrangler variations later in the model year. A 2014 Wrangler brochure is also circulating on the internet.

That is good news for those awaiting those colors. Do you know if you can delete leather (get cloth instead) on the Rubicon X package or get a lighter factory leather color instead on the X? Unfortunately the Amp'd color vehicles I've seen on the internet are not the yellow I prefer and so far Jeep has not again mentioned offering Plum Crazy. Granite should look good with a body colored top with the light grey Rubi wheels. My new fall backs may be Flame Red or White. I am a patient person and have already been waiting a long time to replace my 2004 Rubi. Thanks for the report!

Tgeep,

My first post here, hi all...yes, you can get either black cloth or black cloth/saddle inserts for interior. A7/X9 or A7/XV order codes respectively.

I came across this thread/site yesterday while researching for a customer. We ordered an Unlimited Sport Freedom in the Hydro Blue for them last night (Sat 9/14.) Since he's retired from the old Jeep plant, he's going to push his order through..should be running the color in the next week or two for anyone interested.

And the dragon package is available to order in Sahara Unlimited only right now.

As an aside, the Jeep plants in Toledo are way behind and they are going to 6 day weeks as soon as the suppliers get up to speed.

If anyone has any other Jeep questions, feel free to message me. It may take me a day or two to get back, but I will answer as soon as I can.

Welcome Conejo148 and thanks for joining in with this useful information. I'm looking at the Rubicon X but did not want the black leather in the hot Arizona climate. The Dragon Edition graphics remind me of the cool tape stripes and designs on the 60's and 70's pony and muscle cars like the Phoenix bird on the Trans Am hood. Any additional posts from you or your customer (former Jeep plant employee) are welcome. Thanks again!

My fellow dealer beat me to your answer! Glad you got the info. I agree - no expectations that we will see Plum Crazy this year. It looks like the Blue, Yellow, Granite, and Copperhead options are the "special" ones this year. I really think Copperhead is the one I'd buy, but then I'm not you!

Re: 2014 Wrangler - Colors

We actually got one of those Dragon Edition Wranglers in today. The hood graphics are very faint in comparison to the grill trim, which does look sharp. It was on the same truck with a red SRT WK2, a Header Orange Charger, and an R/T Classic Purple 6-speed Challenger. Talk about a tough load to sell!

Re: 2014 Wrangler - Colors

I wished you'd have seen a new Wrangler in the Classic Purple (Plum Crazy I presume). lol Saw a Plum Crazy Charger the other day and wished the Chrysler bigwigs had not nixed it. What a great color for Wrangler. Have you seen any Wranglers in the Amp'd color and what are your impressions if you did?

Re: 2014 Wrangler - Colors

For those of you confused about the look of Anvil, here is why. The attached link should take you to a dealership in New Hampshire. They posted several pictures of a Rubicon Unlimited X in Anvil. The 2 pictures of the front angle show the Jeep as grey whereby the 2 shots from the rear angle give the light bluish-grey appearance. I have seen one of these Anvil Rubicon Unlimited X's in the bright sunlight that was sitting out in a field at a classic car show. It looked grey (see the pictures of the front below) from several hundred feet all the way up to touching it. But as I walked around it from and saw the shadows side and sunlight side, I could see a slight bluish hue from some of my perspectives but nothing as blue as some of the photos show it to be. Overall I liked it.
