Re: 2015 Hard Rock - Tire Help!

So I'm trying to figure this out.

Will the stock one be a good Winter / Snow tire and the

Goodyear Duratec Wrangler HP Tire P265/70R17? be the rest of the year?

A little help with the actual model tire on my Hard Rock would be helpful.

Mike

The stock 32" BFG mud terrains on the Rubicon (including Hard Rock) are great off road tires and are fine on road except when driving on ice. Winter would be the only season I'd consider having a different set of tires for. Duratracs could be used all year long but aren't as aggressive off road as the BFG MTs.

Forget the stock MT tires. Sell them and run the Duratracs all the time. Much, much better all around tire, especially on the road in all types of weather.

This.
The Duratracs are so much better on road in any weather. It's amazing the difference.

So get these?

Goodyear Duratec Wrangler HP Tire P265/70R17?

It comes with 255/70R17s correct? Advantage to go 265?

2015 Hard Rock - Tire Help!

I went with the stock 255/75R17. The tire guy said I wouldn't notice any difference in going with the wider 265. Not sure how much truth there is to that.

Re: 2015 Hard Rock - Tire Help!

Duratracks are great on and off road tires!!!!!!!

I would chalk test them for proper tire pressure.
Also check your toe in.
On a stock Wrangler, toe in and centering your steering wheel is the only aligment adjustments available. If your caster adjustment is off, then adjustable CA"s will be needed!

You should not have had a handing problem with the stock factory tires so I would look into the above.
